Dominador G. Vigilia's Obituary
Dominador Gapultos Vigilia of Tavares, Florida passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the age of 104 years. He was born in Camiling Tarlac, Philippines. He moved to the United States in 1939 and settled in California. Shortly after, Dominador proudly served in the US Army in World War II as an interpreter, serving in New Guinea and in the Philippines. After the war, he returned to the states and went to work as a farmer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Grand Lodge in Stockton, California. Dominador moved to central Florida in 2013 from Garland, Texas. He enjoyed watching baseball. He was preceded in death by his wife, Neil in 1989. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his grand-nephews, Edwin Alagano of Lake Mary, Florida, Ignacio Alagano of Illinois and Ryan Alagano of Tavares; and grand-nieces, Ruth Alagano of Tavares, Catherine Alagano of Canada, Elizabeth Agustin of Casselberry, Florida, Myrna Tiu of Orlando, Florida and Ruby Miniano, also of Orlando.
Family and friends are invited to gather for viewing on Sunday, January 28 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm in the funeral home. Mass will be held on Monday, January 29 at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church in Eustis at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
