Delores E. Hicov's Obituary
Delores Hicov passed away peacefully on January 3, 2024.
She was the oldest of 10 children and the mother of five: Christine Hicov, Jeffrey Hicov, Thomas Hicov, Susan Hartman (Ron), and Tammey Rogers (Doug). She was further blessed with five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She married her sweetheart, Michael Hicov, who predeceased her, and they embarked on a 63-year marriage that brought them many joyful and fulfilling moments.
While raising her family, she served as a nurse at Hicksville Memorial Hospital in Ohio, she opened and managed a wig shop in her home, she owned and operated a restaurant for 14 years, and she organized and conducted estate sales for others after relocating to Florida in 1985.
Her volunteer work and service to her community illustrated her servant’s heart, and her enthusiasm and generosity were freely given to everyone she met.
Hard work, creativity, and her family life were her passions and all these things drove her to become the remarkable woman that she was.
This special wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend will forever be remembered and missed. She was loved while on earth, and there is comfort in knowing that God’s Holy love for her will endure forever.
