Dayle Frances Polly was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on December 15, 1943.
She died on June 6, 2025 in Clermont, Florida.
Her mother was Irene May (Andrews) Polly 1919 - 1994
Her father was Franklin Asa Polly 1918 - 2006
She has one sibling, her brother, Donald Franklin Polly 1938 -
Dayle grew up in Dalton, Massachusetts and attended grade school there. In 1951 the family moved to Southwick, Massachusetts. In 1953 the family moved again, this time to Brampton, Ontario, Canada. In 1956 Dayle and her mother, Irene, moved back to Dalton, Massachusetts where she attended Dalton High School, graduating in 1961.
She worked for a short time in Pittsfield, Massachusetts at Editions Limited until she married Kenneth Schermerhorn in 1962.
They had two children, Gary R. Schermerhorn, born in 1963 and Heidi J. Schermerhorn born in 1966.
In 1973 they moved to Orange, California, a few years after her brother, Don, had moved to California. Ken was employed by the General Electric Company. Dayle opened her own Travel Agency, 'The Travel Affaire' in Orange, California. She remarried in 1992 to Edwin Haase.
In 2006 they moved from California to Leesburg, Florida and bought a house there. Ed passed away in 2014 leaving Dayle widowed. Living close to her brother, Don, and son, Gary, in Florida, she thrived, living a happy life with her two cats. On June 6, 2025 she suffered a sudden heart attack. All attempts to revive her failed.
She leaves her son, Gary Schermerhorn; daughter, Heidi Fogal; grandson, Wyatt Fogal; brother, Don Polly; sister-in-law, Cookie Polly, and five nieces and nephews, Veronica Vendetta, Donna Bonham, Jon Polly, Brett Polly and Joshua Polly.
