David Alan Ritchie's Obituary
David Alan Ritchie 84, of Tavares, passed away on April 5, 2014. He was born in East Orange, New Jersey and has lived in the Mount Dora - Tavares area since 1991. He was a Presbyterian and a Veteran having served in the United States Army. David was a retired Professional Engineer in the heating, air conditioning and refrigeration industry and a lifetime member of A.S.H.R.A.E (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc.). He is survived by his wife Gertrude “Trudy” Ritchie, they were married for 58 years. Also surviving are his children; Bruce Alan (Debbie) Ritchie of New Port Richey, Florida, Sharon (Craig) Lee of Tampa, Florida, Debra (Steven Keller) McCarthy of Sorrento, Florida and Michael David (Rebecca) Ritchie of Arlington, Tennessee, eleven grandchildren and his sister Evelyn Schlauch of Felton, Delaware. Funeral services will be held in the Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Saturday, April 12th at 3 PM. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 PM. Interment will follow in Tavares Cemetery.
