In Loving Memory of David Scott Pauley Sr.
David Scott Pauley Sr., affectionately known as “Scott,” passed away peacefully following an illness on Thursday, December 18th, at the age of 62. He was born on June 1st, 1963, in West Virginia and lived a life marked by devotion to his family, steadfast friendships, hard work, and quiet strength.
Scott was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He took great pride in his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those he loved. Known for his kindness, strong work ethic, and generous spirit, Scott touched the lives of many and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
For 19 years, Scott dedicated his professional life to Orlando Freightliner, where he earned the respect of coworkers and friends through his integrity and commitment. Outside of work, he cherished time spent with his family, enjoyed fishing, and proudly supported the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Sara Pauley; his son, David Scott Pauley Jr.; and his daughter, Erica Shuttera. He is also survived by his brothers: Terry Pauley and his wife, Karen; Timothy Pauley; Howard Pauley Jr.; and Eric Pauley and his wife, Michelle; along with many extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Freda Pauley.
A celebration of Scott’s life will be held on January 10th, 2025, at the home of Scott and Sara. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
