Erin Hyde
Grandpa Beitz was the only person who would get up with me at 5:00am, drive all the way to the lake (listening to Tennessee Ernie Ford), patiently sit with me while I fished ALL DAY LONG, and then laugh when I felt bad for the ONE FISH I would catch and inevitably let go. He taught me to swim, taught me to drive, and scared away my first boyfriend when he came to the door. I will miss him terribly but I have so many great memories to sustain me. I can still hear him clearly singing "Starkle, starkle little twink, where the hell you are I think..." Love you, Grandpa.
