Dr. Daniel Hubert Drake's Obituary
Daniel Hubert Drake, age 86, of Leesburg passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014. He was born January 7, 1928 in Chicago, IL. He moved from Chicago in 1973 to St. Petersburg, FL and then in 1993 to Leesburg. He was a retired orthodontist and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Grand Island Baptist Church. He loved stamp collecting, coins, his kids and grandkids. He is survived by his sons, Paul Drake of Tallahassee, FL, David Drake of Leesburg, FL; daughters, Laura (Mark) Drake Cole of Brooksville, FL, Jillyan (Chad) McGraw of Lakeland, FL, Heather (Brendan) Moeller of Wesley Chapel, FL, Lindsey Drake of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Aiden and Ethan. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 11:00AM until 12:00PM at Grand Island Baptist Church. A Funeral Service will follow at the church at 12:00PM. Interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E.
