Daniel Joseph Callahan's Obituary
Daniel Joseph Callahan 42, a resident of Amarillo, Texas, died after a short battle with cancer on October 15, 2018 at his family home in Mount Dora, Florida. Dan is survived by his parents; Michael and Rosanna Callahan, his brother; Lt. Col. Sean (Liz) Callahan; his sisters; Rebecca (Ken) Davison and Rachel (Josh) Welch, his grandfather; Henry V. Nelson and six nieces and nephews.
Dan was born on July 27, 1976 and was a graduate of West Texas A&M University. He had a variety of career experiences as a hospital executive, a corporate jet pilot and most recently worked in the petroleum industry.
Dan had numerous friends across a wide swath of America and was known as a loyal, joyful friend who could be trusted. He was a faithful Catholic and never missed an opportunity to help someone in need.
He loved to laugh and everything Star Wars.
Funeral Mass will be held in St. Patrick Catholic Church of Mount Dora on Friday, October 19th at 9 AM. Interment will be in Fargo, North Dakota at a later date.
