Dale Eldon Coven's Obituary
Dale Eldon Coven passed away on Monday June 15, 2009 at the age of 78. He was born on December 2, 1930 to the late Leo and Leela Coven in Tavares, FL. After serving in the U.S. Navy, Dale was employed for many years by the Commerce Bank, and was affiliated for many years with GRACE Christian School of Cary, N.C. Attended services at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Raliegh, NC. Locally Dale was on the Board of Directors for the J.C.'s of Orlando. He is survived by his wife Martha M. Coven of Daytona Beach, FL., and a sister Bettye Wilcox of Tavares, FL., along with many nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Babe, Russell, and Lyndon Coven, and one sister Alice Anderson. Funeral services for Mr. Coven will be held on Saturday June 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Union Congregational Church of Tavares. Friends and family may call on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow in the Tavares City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials to the church be made in Dale's honor.
