SGT. CONSTANCE ELAINE HURST”
‘LAINE’
ECCLESIASTES 3: 1-12 THERE IS AN APPOINTED TIME FOR EVERYTHING
A TIME TO BE BORN
On 22 August, 1945 the late John Henry Williams and Evelyn M. Williams were blessed with the birth of their 2nd child who they named Constance Elaine Williams. ‘Laine’ as she was affectionately called by family was a loving and shy little girl who was crazy about her daddy.
A TIME FOR SCHOOL AND WORK
Laine received her education in the Philadelphia, PA school system. Upon graduating high school she applied to and was hired by the House of Correction Prison System as a Correctional Officer in the City of Philadelphia, PA. She worked as a dedicated member of corrections for two years. Then, in 1971, Constance known to her co-workers as ‘Connie’ applied and became a police officer for the Philadelphia Police Department in which she retired as a Sergeant. Furthermore, Connie served 35 years in the United States Army Reserves and also, retired as a Sergeant of her Command.
A TIME TO LOVE
On 22 November, 1966 Constance Elaine Williams married James L. Hurst and from that union came a handsome baby boy, David Courtney Hurst, after ten years of marriage that marital union was dissolved and ten years later, Connie was remarried to the late Harry Lowerey who was the love of her life until his death..
A TIME TO DIE
In the midst of life there is death, which draws a new beginning for a flower, and a new phase in the giving cycle of nature. Sadly, on 30 January, 2023, it was at that time Connie completed her cycle of life as we know it.
