Cheryl A. Higinson's Obituary
Cheryl A. Higinson, age 59, of Leesburg, passed away on November 2, 2009 after a long, brave fight against cancer. She was born in Valhalla, NY (April 19, 1950) and lived in Rockland County, NY for many years before moving to Poughkeepsie, NY and then to Queensbury, NY. In 1998 she and her husband moved to West Palm Beach,Florida. After retiring in 2006, they relocated to Leesburg, FL. Cheryl had been a cook in restaurants in Lake George and Glens Falls, New York and owned and operated The Corner Store Cafe in West Palm Beach in Florida and later worked at the Lake Worth Drive-In Theater.Cheryl had many passions in life, but the ones at the top of her list are her family and spending time at the different Disney Parks. She and her family had year round park hopper passes and she enjoyed going in large groups or small . She became a kid as she passed through the gates. Even when she was getting tired she was always up for a trip to Disney. She loved nature and especially loved to watch birds, squirrels and butterflies.She is survived by her husband of 43 loving years, Theodore Jr. "Ted" Higinson of Leesburg; sons, Theodore III "Ted" Higinson and Cindy Robedee of Leesburg, Keith Higinson of Inverness; daughter, Sheri (Mrs. Jon) VanHoogen of Leesburg; ex daughter-in-laws, Jennifer Ball, Sara Ball, Kelly Higinson; brother, Joseph Conklin of NY; sister, Joann Sansalone of Glens Falls, NY; grandchildren, Curt Moorehouse, Theodore Higinson IV, Shawn Hignson, Devan Higinson, Brittany Higinson, Jordon Russell, Steven Creeden, Keith Higinson Jr., and Destiny Higinson; mother-in-law, Angela Higinson of Bloomingburg, NY and several nieces and nephews.
