Dear Poppa Charlie, How blessed and fortunate are we to have been gifted with the warmth of your smile, your sharp, quick wit and humor and most of all your love. Words seem to fail when we begin to describe all that you were to so many. 99 years is simply not enough time to tell the story of Charlie Pinner. Your life has been the benchmark by which lesser men will be weighed and measured. Certainly, no one is perfect, but having had the honor and privilege of seeing your courage in the face of death is something I will never forget. Even in your darkest hour, you would still find deep within yourself the ability to say " thank you, yes ma'am "...all the gentleman mannerisms lesser men would have abandoned. You never forgot to love your wife and your mother and promised both you would soon see them in Heaven. We are heartbroken because you are gone from our sight. You will forever be in our hearts. Thank you for the reminder to live life on your own terms, to be courageous, and above all love and honor your family. I love you, Mrs. Reba Pinner
