Charles Wilson Archabald, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Charles Wilson Archabald, Jr., of Tavares, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the age of 89 years. Charles was born in Columbus, Ohio to Charles Wilson Archabald, Sr. and Wave (Delavan) Archabald on January 16th, 1921. He served his country in the United States Navy in World War II on a Merchant Marine ship as a gunner. He and his wife Marjorie have been snowbirding for 3 years to Tavares from Alexandria, Ohio. Charles enjoyed building model boats from scratch. He is rememberd by his wife of 69 years, Marjorie (Marty); son and daughter in law, Charles M. Archabald, Sr. and Linda of Alexandria, Ohio; grandchildren, Misty (Mike) Szymczak of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Charles M. Archabald, Jr. (Krysann) of Garwin, Iowa, Tracy Moore of Fredericktown, Ohio, Kristian Archabald of Columbus, Ohio and Ashley Archabald of Johnstown, Ohio; great grandchildren, Andria Moore of Fredericktown, Ohio and Matthew Moore, also of Fredericktown, and Michael (Abbi) Archabald of Goose Creek, South Carolina and great great grandchild, Kaylin. He was preceeded in death by his daughter, Paula Archabald. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson-Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares, Florida, 352-343-4444.
