Charles Parker, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Charles Parker, Jr., of Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2011 at the age of 87 years. He was born in Montpelier, Vermont. Charles was the owner/operator of Capital City Press in Montpelier for 35 years. Living in Vermont for 65 years, he moved to Deerfield Beach, Florida after his retirement and then relocated to Howey-in-the-Hills in 2005. He enjoyed Golf and fishing. Charles is remembered by his son and daughter-in-law, James A. and Linda Parker of Howey-in-the-Hills; son, Charles Parker III of Dover, New Hampshire; son and daughter-in-law, Martin L. and Sarah Parker of South Berwick, Maine; and daughter-in-law, Allyson Parker, wife of the late, William John Parker of Waterbury, VT; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Helen and his brother, Harry E. Parker. Family and friends had a gathering on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to your local Humane Society. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, Tavares, FL, 352-343-4444.
