Charles Ernest "Charlie" Breedlove's Obituary
Charles Ernest Breedlove of Eustis, formerly of Tavares, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the age of 83 years. He was born in Tavares and has been a lifelong resident, except for his time serving in the US Navy. Charlie worked for the railroad as a signal man. Later, he went to work for the US postal Service driving a semi-truck from Orlando to Miami until his retirement. He attended First Baptist Church of Tavares. Charlie was also involved with the Senior Center in Eustis and Henderson House, where he resided until his passing. Charlie was a member of Stepping Stones AA in Eustis for over 40 years. Beating his addiction, he mentored and counselled other members to get through the challenges they faced. Charlie is survived by 4 nieces, Debra Ring of Kentucky, Sue Lee of Georgia, Cindy Ritchie of Georgia and Kathy Codding of Eustis; his Aunt Carolyn Meadows of Eustis, as well as several cousins. Friends are invited to gather for viewing on Saturday, September 13 from 10:00 – 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. A graveside ceremony will follow at Ferndale Cemetery, Ferndale, FL at 12:00 noon. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
