Charles Douglas Blount, born November 27, 1957, in Dallas, Texas, peacefully departed this world to be with our Lord on May 2, 2025, in Tavares, FL, surrounded by loved ones.
Charles was the beloved son of Earl B. Blount and Maxine Clark (Csarmann). His early years were spent in Texas, Georgia, and Florida, where he developed a love for music and an unforgettable sense of humor. Charles was known for his playful spirit, always ready with a joke or a clever prank to brighten someone’s day.
Charles’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. He was a proud veteran, having served honorably in the United States Marine Corps. Throughout his life, Charles demonstrated a tireless work ethic, dedicating many years to hospitality management before finding fulfillment as a Patient Care Assistant at Advent Health Waterman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl B. Blount; his brother, Earl Jr.; his beloved daughter, Jennifer Brown; and his grandson, Raymond Longoria.
Charles is survived by his loving mother Maxine Csarmann Rosen (Ron); his daughters: Angel (her mother, Carmen Castillo), Sheree Brewer, Shelley, Kelly, and Heather (with their mother, Brenda Brown), 20 grandchildren , 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great -great grandchild.
He is also survived by his loving brothers: Alan (Geri), Brantley (Kelley), and David (Eve) Blount and his devoted partner, Lavada Vandevanter, her children and grandchildren.
Charles’s legacy of laughter, love, and dedication will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
