Catherine Youngs Thompson's Obituary
Rev. Dr. Catherine (Cay) Thompson, Minister of the Golden Triangle Center for Spiritual Living and Director of the Ernest Holmes Institute in Eustis, passed away on August 25, 2011. Dr. Cay was born at Miami Beach, FL on July 29, 1931. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Rev. Don Thompson; daughters, Diane Koenigsaecker of Palm Harbor, Ruth Asulin of Lake Mary and Carol Thompson of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Vanessa, Eric, Dana and Alisa; great-grandchild, Olivia; nephews, John Youngs of Huntsville, AL, Robert Youngs of Miami Springs, George Youngs of Lebonon, PA; niece, Bonnie Youngs of Huntsville, AL. Dr. Cay attended Rollins College in Winter Park for two years in 1949 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of North Carolina in 1953. She graduated from the Ernest Holmes Ministerial College at Orlando in 1989 and was ordained a United Church of Religious Science Minister in 1994. She became a Religious Science practitioner in 1963. She has served as Senior Minister of Golden Triangle Center of Spiritual Living in Eustis since 1991. Memorial Services were held on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 10:30 at the Golden Triangle Center for Spiritual Living.
