Carolyn Katherine Chain's Obituary
Carolyn Katherine Chain, age 80, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2026.
Born on December 13, 1945, in Goshen, New York, she was the beloved daughter of Alexander and Veronica Dudek.
Carolyn spent her early years in Campbell Hall, New York, before making Florida her home. She graduated from Orange County Community College and devoted her career to caring for others as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. Her gentle spirit, work ethic, and dedication touched the lives of many.
A woman of grace and quiet strength, Carolyn found joy in the simple and the beautiful. She was a Master Gardener, happiest with her hands in the soil, surrounded by flowers, plants, and the peaceful rhythm of nature. She loved to travel, exploring new places while making memories with those she loved.
Carolyn was a loving and devoted wife and mother, whose family meant everything to her. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Chain; her son Ross Chain and his wife Lauren; her daughter Angela Corsino and her husband Peter; her sister Patty DeJong and her husband Joe; and several adored nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister Jennie Dudek and her brother Robert Dudek.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. All who knew and loved Carolyn are warmly invited to attend and honor her life.
Carolyn’s legacy lives on in the gardens she nurtured, the loved ones she cherished, and the many lives she touched with her kindness. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
