Mrs. Carolyn Marie Burnett's Obituary
Carolyn Marie Burnett, 91, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, March 4th, 2020 in Tavares, Florida. Carolyn was born in Moundsville, West Virginia on January 27, 1929 to Frederick Peter and Elsie Virginia Holliday. With her beautiful smile and good word to say, Carolyn was always very active and never let the grass grow under her feet. Carolyn traveled the USA in a RV in much of the lower 48 and parts of Canada. She saw many wonderful sites and loved to show everyone the photos of her travels. She lived in West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana and Florida. Carolyn also had fun doing activities such as bingo and euchre. In the evening she wouldn't miss Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy. She loved to have family and friends visit and Carolyn was very active in the Liberty Baptist Church in Tavares. She enjoyed young at heart Sunday School Class and other activities at the church. Carolyn is survived by her three children; David Wellman (Debbe) of LaCrosse, Indiana, Elaine Dutkiewicz (Frank) of Tavares, Florida, Scott Wellman (Laurie) of Valparaiso, Indiana, three brothers; James Holliday (Anna Mae) of Anderson, South Carolina, Charles Holliday (Anita) of Tavares, Florida, Roger Holliday (Nancy) of Moundsville, West Virginia and 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Burnett who passed in 2011, son; Larry Wellman, sister Delores Newman and grandson Jacob Wellman.
Carolyn's deep faith in Our Lord got her through many ups and downs. She taught her children to be kind, loving and gentle. We were all blessed to have had her with us 91 years.
