Carol Aleta Spuck's Obituary
Carol Aleta Spuck was born on May 15, 1956, in Wurzburg, in the Bavaria region of Germany, where her father, O.A. “Kin” Kinkennon, an officer in the U.S. Army, was stationed. Carol is predeceased by her father, her mother, Zonie Johanna Romaniuk Kinkennon, and her husband and love of her life, David. Carol is survived by two sisters, Nancy Kinkennon Emerson, of Largo, Florida, and Karen K. Specie, of Tallahassee, Florida (Gary), two nephews, Sean G. Specie (Natalie), of Jacksonville, Florida, and Ryan G. Specie (Kayla), of London, England, and a niece, Shannon K. Specie, of Orlando, Florida. Carol is also survived by a great-niece, Gemma Specie, and great-nephew, Nathaniel Specie, both of Jacksonville, Florida. She also had three stepchildren that she thought of and loved as her own. John from Jacksonville, Scott (Gingkie) from California and Anne from Eustis. Along with her grandchildren: Alyxander, Matthew, Gabryel, Bella and Carter.
Carol graduated from Boca Ciega High School, St. Petersburg, Florida, in 1974, after which she received an AA Degree and furthered her college education by taking several additional courses. Carol served 28 years as a corrections officer with the Lake County Sheriff’s department.
Carol loved horses and dogs; her favorite horse was named “Iffy-Can.” According to Carol, that meant “if he can, he will.” Carol had
several dogs over the years, but one of her favorites was “Barney,” a rescue that later became one of Disney World’s top bomb sniffing dogs.
