Carol Ann Fremeau's Obituary
Carol “Charlie” Ann Fremeau, 76, passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 14, 2025, in Orange City, Florida. She was born on August 27, 1948, in Baltimore, Maryland to Warren Calvert Seifert Sr and Muriel Helen Almony (Millard Royston Almony - Stepfather). Raised in Brooklyn Park, Maryland, she graduated in 1966 as a proud Brooklyn Park Bee (Brooklyn Park High School, Brooklyn Park Maryland) before pursuing her education in finance at the University of Maryland which led her to a fulfilling career of over 32 years.
She was a proud, loving, devoted wife and mom; she is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 53 ½ years, Jerome (Jerry) Fremeau, her daughter Shannon Dezearn (Kermit), her beloved grandchildren Zachary (Ashley) and Hailee, her 3 fur babies Bella, Midnight and Peanut and numerous nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren were the light of her life! She is preceded in death by her father Warran Calvery Seifert Sr., her mother Muriel Helen Almony, stepfather Millard Royston Almony, sister Catherine Louise Calabrese (Jerry) and brother Warren Calvert Seifert Jr.
Carol was a strong, proud cancer survivor, battling and beating lung cancer 4 times over the last 25 years. She enjoyed adventures in the motor home with her husband and her fur babies, cruising, playing bingo, reading a good book, spending time with her family, spending afternoons scouring thrift stores for exciting finds and enjoying time with friends. In her younger years Carol was an avid bowler, loved dancing, playing cards, spending time in Ocean City Maryland enjoying the beach and boardwalk with her family, she loved anything and everything Betty Boop and her fond love of Llama’s. She was well known by family and friends for her holiday cookies, fudge and Kahlua.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 6, 2025 at the Orange City Moose Lodge located at 1081 N. Volusia Ave. Orange City, FL 32763 at 2pm. Family and friends are invited to join the family to share stories, laugh, cry, have a drink and raise a toast to an amazing daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Please bring your stories to share; it means so much knowing our beloved Carol was loved by so many.
