Carl Ray Lee's Obituary
Carl Ray Lee, age 65, of Tavares passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014. He was born March 17, 1949 in Mineral Wells, TX to Alfred and Ruby Lee. Carl was an Administrative Librarian, working in many university libraries, the last being Michigan State University, E. Lansing, MI. Upon retiring to Tavares, FL in 2006, Carl worked part-time at the Leesburg Library, Leesburg, FL. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as Avionics Equipment Maintenance Supervisor during Vietnam. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Betty Lee of Tavares, FL; sister, Dottie Lee of El Paso, TX; step-daughters, Kerri (Dan) Whitenack of Duluth, GA and Kelli (Brad) Johnson of DeWitt, MI; grandchildren, Kyli Teague, Taylor Tagsold, Travis Tagsold, Kara Johnson, Maddie Johnson, Ben Johnson; and great-grandson, Graison Teague. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 3:00PM at the Royal Harbor Social Hall. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
