Buel Junior Rodgers' Obituary
Buel Junior Rodgers of Tavares, Florida passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the age of 77 years. He was born in Sentinel, Oklahoma to Buel Danties and Maggie Elifair Rodgers, who preceded him in death. Buel, known to many as “Junior” obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and later his Master’s Degree in Entomology, both from Oklahoma State University. He moved to Florida in 2001 from Laplace, Louisiana, settling in Tavares, after moving to and from several states due to his work. Tavares was a perfect choice because he absolutely loved to go fishing. Buel was a member of the 14th Street Church of Christ in Leesburg, Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul and two sisters, Marcia and Burle. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his daughters, Judy A. Jones and Renea Swadley; sons, Joseph Rodgers, James Rodgers and Dr. Dan Rodgers; 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
