Brian Lee Hanawalt's Obituary
Brian Lee Hanawalt, 56, of Leesburg, FL went to be with the Lord on Tuesday May 02, 2017. Brian was born on July 31, 1960 in Hampton, Iowa to Lowell and Leona Hanawalt. Brian moved from Iowa to Apopka, FL in 1972. In November of 1981, At the age of 21, Brian opened his own Car Dealership, Hanawalt Auto Sales in Orlando, FL where his business has thrived for 35 years. Brian was of the Baptist faith. In 1986 he joined the Moose Lodge, of Orlando, FL Lodge number 766. He enjoyed Watching the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team, his cows, going for rides on his motorcycle and anything automotive related. On August 25, 1990 in Orlando, FL Brian married the love of his life, Lisa K. (Rigdon) Hanawalt. People who knew Brian best would describe him as: Witty, Friendly, a story teller and an overall great guy. Brian was a loving and devoted Husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by many. He is predeceased by his Father: Lowell F. Hanawalt and dear sister: Brenda Blackmer. Brian is survived by his loving wife of 26 years: Lisa K. Hanawalt, of Leesburg, FL; Mother: Leona Hanawalt, of Apopka, FL; Son: Nilus Hanawalt, of Orlando, FL; Daughter: Reagan Hanawalt, of Leesburg, FL; Brother: Bruce (Kim) Hanawalt, of Apopka, FL; Ten Nieces and Nephews; Twelve Great-Nieces and Nephews; And many close friends. A gathering will be held on Monday, May 08, 2017 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Steverson Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Home. Located at: 226 East Burleigh Blvd. Tavares, FL 32778. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 09, 2017 at 11:00AM at Trinity Baptist Church, Apopka, FL. Located at 1022 S. Orange Blossom Trail, Apopka, FL 32703.
