Bonnie June Wilson's Obituary
Bonnie June Wilson of Tavares, Florida passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the age of 85 years. She was born in Chicago, Illinois. She met the love of her life Eldon. They married and started a family. While Eldon worked first shift, Bonnie would work second shift at the RA Briggs factory, to provide for their family. She later went to work for a wedding dress manufacturer for a few years and eventually went to work for Kemper Insurance, where she worked for many years until she retired. She and Eldon were members of the Lake Zurich Free Evangelical Church for most of their lives until they relocated to Tavares, Florida in 1995. Bonnie was a member of the LifePointe Church in Eustis.
Bonnie enjoyed crocheting. She was also an avid reader. Bonnie was very devoted to her family, her church and her friends and enjoyed entertaining by opening her home for gatherings.
Bonnie is remembered and will be dearly missed by her husband of 66 years, Eldon “Willie” Wilson; sons, Kevin (Kathy) Wilson of Beloit, Wisconsin and Jonathan (Dixie) Wilson of Elgin, Illinois; brother, Robert (Debbie) Cairns of Santa Fe, New Mexico; sisters, Sandy (Mike) Good of Woodacre, California and Sharon Mann of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Eric Q. Wilson, Ian Wilson and Ellie Wilson and great-grandchildren, Scarlet Q. and Fox.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, August 19 from 10:00 – 11:00 am with a funeral ceremony starting at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.
