Bob M. Hooker's Obituary
Bob M. Hooker, age 81, of Tavares passed away on Friday, May 8, 2009. He was born February 15, 1928 in Columbus, OH and moved to Tavares in 1969 from CT. He was the former owner of Hooker Dental Supplies and a veteran of the US Navy, having served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Aircraft Owner & Pilot Association, a charter member of Mooney Aircraft Pilots Association, and a member of the American Bonanza Society. Bob was also a world traveler, an outdoorsman, and an experienced yachtsman and pilot. He is survived by his wife, Dottie of Tavares; a sister, Jeanne S. Moreland of Tavares; and many close friends. A Service for Mr. Hooker will be held at 3:00PM on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, FL 32778.
