Betty Jean Christlieb's Obituary
Betty Jean Christlieb, 86, of Tavares passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Born in Leo, Indiana she had been a resident of this area for the past 51 years coming from Montverde, Florida. A 1949 graduate of St. Joe College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she was a Registered Nurse and had taught nursing at both Valencia Community College and Orange Memorial Hospital, both in Orlando, Florida. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church and had been very active in the "prayer chain". Some of her many hobbies included an interest in antique books, bells and traveling. An interesting note was the fact that prior to marrying Argle, she had never traveled more that thirty miles from home.Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Argle, Tavares, Florida, 1 son: Steve Christlieb, Citra, Florida, 1 daughter; Karen Jean Snyder, Clearwater, Florida, 4 Grandchildren; Brian, Scott & Julie Snyder and Chad Christlieb and 1 Great-Grandchild; Bryson Snyder. She was pre-deceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.Funeral services were held Friday, November 23, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 East Burleigh Boulevard, Tavares, Florida with Pastor Terry Weaver of the Berean Baptist Church officiating. Friends gathered from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Entombment followed in Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis, Florida.
