Betty L. Grainger's Obituary
Betty L. Grainger of Yalaha passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the age of 84 years. She was born in Pineville, Kentucky and moved to Astatula with her family at the age of 12. In 1973 she relocated to Yalaha. Betty was a retired CNA and Geriatric Technician for many years working at Leesburg Regional Medical Center as well as private duty care. After retiring, she volunteered at Waterman Hospital in Eustis for several years as a Pink Lady. She enjoyed sewing, especially crocheting and embroidery work. She loved dolls and had a passion for collecting them. She attended Family Christian Center Church in Clermont whenever she was able. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James in March of 2010 after 59 years of marriage. She was also preceded by her two brothers, Charles Collett and Oscar Collett. Betty is remembered and will be dearly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Jody and Raymond Newman of Clermont; grandchildren, Clinton (Katheryn) Bryant of South Burlington, Vermont and Lance Bryant of Woodstock, Georgia; great grandsons: Wesley. A funeral ceremony will start at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 11 in the funeral home chapel. Burial is private.
