Mrs. Bertha Goldstein's Obituary
Bertha Goldstein, 82, of Mt. Dora, passed away on April 15, 2020. Born January 28, 1938 in Havana, Cuba, she was the oldest child of Marcus and Dora (Vinestock) Epstein. She came to the United States at the age of 16 and lived with her Great Aunt in Philadelphia before moving to New York. Bertha became a United States citizen in 1958, where she then moved to New Jersey in 1967. Later, she moved to Florida in 2002 where she resided until her death. She spent her career working as a school bus monitor and her interests included painting, listening to music and collecting tigers and elephant figurines. Bertha was also an avid reader and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Martin (Teddy) Goldstein. Bertha is survived by her three daughters and their spouses: Melinda and Daniel Preston, Vivian Murray, Lisa and Joseph Demaico. Three grandchildren; Amanda Demarco, Makenzie Demarco, Abigail Murray and one great grandson; Jeremy Demarco.
A memorial service to celebrate Bertha's life will be held at a later date due to the corona-virus pandemic at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Eustis, Florida.
