Barbara Natalie Wilson's Obituary
Barbara Natalie Wilson, 93, of Leesburg and Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully at Victoria Landing Assisted Living on July 18, 2026.
Born in Danville, Illinois, on January 30, 1933, to Leatha Marshall, Barbara lived a full and spirited life. She and her husband, Edward Wilson, were married in Orlando, Florida, in 1977. They spent many years working for Martin Marietta in Orlando, Florida. Together they were devoted boaters, exploring the lakes of Central Florida and making their home on Lake Eustis for many happy years. They also traveled extensively in Europe, South America, Alaska, and the Southwestern United States.
In her later years, Barbara became well-known among friends in Palm Bay and Melbourne, Florida, for her sharp wit and her talent at local poker tables, a game she played with enthusiasm and with more than a little competitive fire.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wilson; her son, Gene Combs; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Combs; and her grandson, Joseph Brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Combs Sullivan; her grandsons, Sean Hightower and Tom (Trish) Brothers; her great-grandchildren, Isabella and Ramsey Brothers; and her sister-in-law, Myra (Pete) Combs Kohler.
No formal funeral service is planned. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held in August, 2026, with day, time, and location to be announced. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice in remembrance of Barbara Wilson will be appreciated.
