Arlene M. Yates' Obituary
Arlene M. Yates, age 90, of Tavares, passed away on September 20, 2010. She was born in Hiram, OH and moved to Tavares in 1985 from Hallandale, FL. She was a member of the Union Congregational Church of Tavares, LIFE, Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Florida Hospital and Singles on the Go at First united Methodist Church. She had retired from the Broward County Public Schools.She is survived by her son, Ronald of Orlando; sister, Louise Black of Ravenna, OH; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A Memorial Service was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2010 at Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Robert H. Roberts officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice or American Cancer Society. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 East Burleigh Boulevard, Tavares, FL 32778.
