Anne T. Romano's Obituary
Anne T. Romano of Mount Dora, FL, age 94, passed away on October 22, 2022. She was born Anne Lucille Tryon in Philadelphia, PA on April 17, 1928. She graduated from West Catholic Girls high School, and worked as a bookkeeper for Bell Telephone until 1951, when she married her loving husband, Albert. They raised 5 children: Barbara, John, Peter, Olivia, and Mark. Anne was anxious to have a family and her greatest aim was to raise responsible children.
Anne loved music, and sang soprano in her church choir and in musical groups. She was also a self-taught artist, and painted over a dozen large wall hangings. Anne was an avid home decorator and bookkeeper; she also enjoyed reading and antiquing.
Anne and Albert retired to Florida in 1984. They both loved to travel, and finally resided in Lake County as of 2005.
Anne will be sorely missed by her family, who always resorted to her for her sage advice.
She is survived by Albert, 5 children, 14 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares, FL. A Memorial Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00AM.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis, FL on December 13, 2022 at 8:00AM
