Anna Marie Leonard's Obituary
Anna Marie Leonard of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the age of 84 years. She was born in Ashtabula, Ohio and moved to this area in 1982. She was a steward of the Haines Creek Church of God in Leesburg for 20 years. The church relocated and became known as the Silver Lake Community Church where she remained a member. Anna loved needlework including crocheting and cross stitch. She enjoyed making beautiful crafts and yarn dolls. Anna also loved a good card game or a game of dominoes. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years in February of 2006, Harvey. Anna is remembered and will be dearly missed by her son, Harvey A. Leonard, Jr. and his wife, Mary Catherine of Eastlake, Ohio; daughters, Joanne Cowan and her husband, Michael of Clarksville, Tennessee, Shelby Jean Green and her husband, Douglas of Dunnellon, Florida and Vickie McDuffie on New Smyrna Beach, Florida; brothers, John Roy Barnard of Conneaut, Ohio and Robert Michael Barnard of Anderson, Indiana; sisters, Shirley Elizabeth Burns of Akron, Ohio, Harriet June Mathieu of Ashtabula, Kathleen Julia Fisher and her husband, Frank of Lake Placid, Florida and Carolyn Blanche Rice and her husband, Richard of Conneaut; as well as many loving and caring grandchildren, great grand children, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A memorial ceremony will be held Tuesday, September 17 at 6:00 pm at the Silver Lake Community Church. Condolences, memories, photos and video may be shared on the tribute wall.
