Ann M. Zeis' Obituary
Ann M. Zeis, 72 years young, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 7, 2020. Ann was born on November 3, 1948 in Hamburg, New York, to William and Mary Gechell. Ann didn’t have much use for fanfare or accolades for herself. She was very happy staying out of the limelight and enjoying the simple things in life; enjoying camping and sitting by the campfire, cooking wholesome meals for her family as well as baking decadent delicious treats for the kids to eat and share. A true Domestic Engineer, preparation was the key to everything. From keeping the house and kids in line while her husband Donald was serving his Country as a United States Marine, to packing and loading the car for one of their many precious camping trips and spending hours at the grocery store picking out just the right ingredients or items for that special meal or treat. Ann and her husband, Donald had a true love story. They met in their freshman year of high school and later married a short time after. Through highs and lows, good times and bad, they never left each other side for 53 years.
Ann is survived by her beloved husband, Donald W. Zeis, Jr., two daughters; Kimberly Vandervoort and Michele Hubbard, four grandchildren; Cody Vandervoort, Dillon Hubbard, Shyann Hubbard, Taylor Hubbard and one great grandchild Corbin Hubbard. Ann’s place of rest will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida in private surrounded by what she loved best…..her family.
