Ann Bignon's Obituary
Ann Cecilia Bignon, 80, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 in Tavares, Florida. Ann was born on August 25, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the 4th of 5 children and always enjoyed time with family. She met her loving husband of over 55 years, Jean, at the Bank of New York and fell in love. They were married in Brooklyn at St. Anselm’s Church and then moved to Piscataway, NJ after their 1st of 5 children was born. They moved to a 2 story home on Kerwin Street, where they stayed for 37 years until they moved to Tavares, Florida in 2004. She was a devoted mother that supported all of her children’s dreams, ideas and aspirations. She was a devout catholic and always encouraged everyone to pray the rosary to Mary. She always sought to bring out the best in all of us. Ann is survived by her husband, Jean Bignon, her children and their families, Ann Marie Bignon, Michele Johnstone and her son Greg, Jean Bignon and his wife Amy, Yvonne Bennetti, her husband Jason and son Brandt, Jeanette Buhring, her husband Mark and their children Benjamin, Evelyn and Elijah, her sister & brother-in-law Alice and Ken Mullamphy and their children Nancy & Marguerite, her two brothers Herman Williams, his wife Carol and John Williams, his wife Nancy. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Catherine Williams and her sisters Catherine Sullivan and Rose Bon Durant.
A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, July 13th at 3 -5 at Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, Florida 32778. The funeral mass will be held at Saint Mary of the Lakes, 218 Ocklawaha, Eustis, Florida 32726 at 10 am Wednesday July 14th, with Father Carlos Bedoya officiating. Afterwards, she will be buried in All Souls Catholic Cemetery in Sanford, Florida.
