Andy visited me here in Las Vegas last December (2023). We had a great time hopping from casino to casino. We reminisced. I have great memories of him since childhood when we had a lively neighborhood playing a tag game called "blacksmith" and capture the flag with the rest of the neighborhood rascals. Later in life, he became my one and only bass guitar student and was pleased to know he enjoyed playing bass at jam sessions. I remember when he drove his motorcycle all the way to the west coast, fixed it and drove it back. Then, he moves to Florida and becomes a sea Captain! We touched bases in the AOL days when he was hanging out with Bob Seger's sax player Alto Reed and then again later when he was tired of driving rich people's yachts for them and moved to Rhode Island to open a nautical supply store to find a fortune of his own. He contacted me recently and we had a great time when he arrived in Las Vegas. I'm so sorry about his passing. He was a very unique, heartfelt and upbeat guy. You're in our hearts, Andy!
