Alice M. Jacobs' Obituary
Alice M. Jacobs, 93, of Mt. Dora, passed away on July 15, 2010. She was born in Toledo, OH and moved to Mt. Dora in 2004 from Palatka, FL. She was a Lieutenant in the Army serving during WWII and Pearl Harbor. She graduated St. Vincents School of Nursing in Toledo, OH on September 11, 1939. She was a very active and enthusiast golfer and a member of the Palatka Woman’s and Garden Club. She is survived by her sons, Stephen Jacobs of Newhall, CA, David Jacobs of Kennewick, WA; daughter, Judy Fisher of Dayton, OH, Barbara Jacobs of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren including Matthew Fisher of Mt. Dora and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert of Jacobs of 56 years. Innurnment will be at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, family ask that donations be made to Garden Club of Palatka, Ravine Garden State Park, 1600 Twigg Street, Palatka, FL 32177.
