Alfred Lloyd Vogler's Obituary
Alfred Lloyd Vogler, 95 of Leesburg, FL went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. Alfred was born on Sunday, October 07, 1923 in Vogler’s Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada, to the late Edwin and Martha Vogler. He proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces for four years. During this time, he served overseas in Italy and fought in WWII. He was a salesman for Roher Pharmaceuticals for over 18 years. He later retired from Roher Pharmaceuticals in 1983 after a heart attack. Alfred was an active member of the Masonic Lodge, #0183 in Portland, Maine. One of his hobbies was working with a scroll saw. He also enjoyed participating in amateur radio and volunteered at Leesburg Regional Hospital for over five years. In 2018 Alfred was proud to have participated in the Flight of Honor service in The villages, FL. Alfred is Predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years: Evelyn Louise Vogler; Son: Erwin Alfred Vogler; and sister: Shirley Munsie. He is survived by his Daughter: Rita (Edward) Wagstaff, of VA; Brother: Chester (Janice) Vogler, of KY; Three Grandchildren; and Six Great-Grandchildren. Alfred was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by many. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday August 01, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Lake Port Square, in the Town Hall. Located at; 600 Lake Port Blvd., Leesburg, FL 34748. The family invites you to join them for an ice cream social directly following the service. Services have been entrusted to Steverson Hamlin and Hilbish Funerals and Cremations. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on the tribute wall.
