Abby (Abiezer) Martinez

Abby was survived, and will be always remembered, by his wife: Ana L. Toledo-Martinez; his children: Annie E. Martinez-Matta, Abiezer J. Martinez, Robert W. Martinez and Cindy G. Stutz; his grandchildren: Francisco A. Sosa, Abiezer W. Martinez, Andres D. Sosa, Michelle Martinez, Caroline Martinez, Julie Ann I. Martinez, Michael Stutz, Tyler Stutz and 6 great grandchildren.
Abby was born in Arecibo, PR, but raised in Brooklyn, NY. His mother was Amparo Valencia & his father, Justo Martinez. He had 3 sisters: Egla Marchant, Mildred Aldereguia & Ida Christi. After finishing High School, he studied to be a Hairstylist, working & updating his career during his entire working years. He met the woman to be his wife in 1956, Ana, through his sister, Egla. They immediately liked each other, started dating & got married the 14th of May 1960. They have 4 children, 8 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. He lived & worked in Brooklyn, NY & San Juan, PR. In 1987 he moved to Florida, together with his wife, & lived here since then.
Besides being a hairstylist, on his free time, his hobbies were working as a handyman, mechanic, plumber & electrician.
Most importantly, he was a great husband & father!
We will celebrate Abby’s life, with a Viewing & Memorial Service on Friday, the 26 of July 2024; from 5 to 9pm at: Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E Burleigh Blvd, Tavares, FL 32778
