Joe always had a way of making me feel like family. I loved talking to him about traveling and what there was to see and do in Florida; and in other parts of the country.
He enjoyed sharing stories about the traveling that he and Dot had done over the years.
Whenever Joe talked about his kids, he always lit up. It was so obvious how proud he was to be their father. I never met my own father, but I think I would have enjoyed being the daughter, of a man like Joe.
Joe liked to tease Dot and give her a hard time. He would tease her about something and then look over at me and wink. You don't stay in a marriage for 60 years, if you aren't head over heals in love with that person.
Joe and Dot are wonderful examples of people who dedicated their lives to their children and to each other. They don't make men like Joe anymore.
My sincerest condolences to all of Joe's family and friends,
Love, Donna Wolcott
