I met Ann when I was 16. She was my step-mother and pregnant with my soon to be little brother Greg. I spent the summer of 1974 with Daddy and Ann in Virginia. I had never been away from home before and found myself very homesick for my mother. Daddy couldn't understand it but Ann did. She would give me a pocket full of quarters and send me down to the end of the road to call my mom. How kind and understanding of Ann! We became very close during that summer and I loved Ann so very much. It was a gift to know her and be loved by her for once Ann loved she loved fiercely and never stopped. My heart grieves knowing I will never hear her voice or her unique laughter again.
