The Barbie I knew was always a healthy, happy, fun-loving straightforward person. We had many adventures together including swimming (with life jackets and water skis) from the Illinois shore to Montrose, Iowa. I cry for me, missing her. I know she is with her beloved Herb and the Lord, and that she is happy. Sister, Judy Queisner.
Aunt Barb always had a smile and a joke for everyone and every occasion! She will be sorely missed!
Monty and I have only known Barb for a little over four years, first meeting her along with her dear husband Herb when they graciously agreed to meet us and visit and share the history of their beautiful lake home , The Rookery, that the Lord made us guardians and stewards of October 2015 after they had loved and cared for it and shared memories there with dear family and friends for almost 40 years. Then, we continued to connect through emails, texting, and phone calls. We think of Barb and know her as a person of kindness, generosity, great talent and skill in many areas including music/piano, elaborate handwork, cooking, fishing, and Just having fun and joking and sharing laughter! We love both Herb and Barb and miss them both! Their memory lives on in so many ways and especially at our place that we share, The Rookery.
