In 2009 the staff of Lakeside Memory Gardens felt it was our patriotic duty to honor and pay tribute to the more than 1 million soldiers who have died to preserve freedom in our great country; the more than 140,000 prisoners of war and all of our heroes declared Missing in Action. Their patriotism and sacrifice have left a legacy of freedom and hope.

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. Join us at Lakeside Memory Gardens this Memorial Day to help us pay tribute to those who have given everything so we can live every day in the comforts of peace that comes from the gift of freedom they have provided us.

“We know that they all loved their lives as we love ours. We know they had a place in the world, families waiting for them, and friends they expected to see again. We know that they thought of a future, just as we do, with plans and hopes for a long and full life. And we know that they left those hopes behind when they went to war, and parted with them forever when they died.”

And on Memorial Day, we must remember………
